The German animal welfare association "Animal Respect" is in charge of two dog protection projects in Italy, but now both are threatened with extinction. Due to inflation and the energy crisis, prices for food, transport and vets have risen considerably in Italy. A change that unfortunately presents the association with considerable financial problems. More than 400 dogs from shelters and on the streets have to be cared for, but the association's coffers are empty. The animal welfare workers are very worried about the future of their charges. Without the urgently needed food, the lives of all these poor creatures are at stake. 😟
