The "Ungarische Hundeseelen e.V." tirelessly fights for the welfare of dogs at the Ibrány shelter in Hungary, where twice as many dogs live as can be cared for. Emese, the dedicated shelter director, faces the enormous challenge of providing food for over 200 dogs, while one of the responsible municipalities refuses to support the shelter. The situation is critical, with another municipality even considering reinstating euthanasia. Emese rescues dogs from dire conditions, including strays and abused animals from Roma settlements. Despite her tremendous efforts, food is often insufficient, and the crisis is escalating. 😟
